Order

  • The product I ordered cannot be delivered, how is that?
    Regrettably, it sometimes happens that a product cannot be delivered due to a number of reasons:
    - the product has already been sold
    - the stock does not add up
    - the product is not available
    We do our utmost to avoid the above circumstances. When we cannot immediately deliver a product you ordered, we will contact one of our other shops or the supplier. If the other shops or the supplier cannot deliver that product either, we will inform you about this situation as soon as possible and will refund your purchase amount. We will also inform you about any alternative products that might interest you instead.
  • I need more information about the order process.
    Placing an order in De Skihut web shop is an easy and quick process. Our order process consists of a number of steps. We will ask you to fill out your data, the delivery address and to select you preferred payment method.
    Your order is only final once you have paid for it.

Paying & returning

  • How should I send my package?
    We recommend that you send the parcel. Registered and / or insured to us This gives you the assurance that the package has arrived with us. If the package lost if PostNL, you will receive PostNL your cash back. The Skihut is not liable for packages that have lost and are not registered or insured mail.
  • How long does it take to refund my payment?
    Once we have received and processed your returned order, you will receive a confirmation e-mail stating that we have received your order. Depending on your selected payment method, we will refund the purchase amount as soon as possible. We strive to refund iDEAL payments within 5 business days, refunds for credit card payments will shown on your credit card overview after 30 days on average.
  • I received the wrong product, what should I do?
    You obviously should not receive the wrong product. If you do, please send an e-mail specifying the problem to [email protected] . We will find a suitable solution together for you to exchange the product.
  • I just paid for my order but haven’t yet received a confirmation.
    It sometimes takes a while before your receive an order confirmation. If you would like to receive a confirmation that your order was placed successfully, please send an e-mail to [email protected] . We will then sort out whether your order came through. You can also view previously placed orders in your account.
  • I would like to exchange a product in the shop, can I do that?
    That is unfortunately not possible.
  • I would like to exchange a product, how do I do that?
    Your order will be accompanied by a return form. If you are unhappy with your purchase, you can inform us about this by sending an e-mail to [email protected] . The return form must be filled out completely and added to your order so that we can handle this matter as soon as possible following receipt of your returned order.

  • I would like to return a product, how do I do that?

  • Will I get a refund if I am unhappy with the product I ordered?
    If you are unhappy with a product you ordered, your purchase amount will be refunded as soon as your order has been returned to us.
  • Which credit cards can I use?
    You can pay with MasterCard and Visa.
  • Why do I get a refund when I exchange a product I ordered online and not in the shop?
    De Skihut is legally obliged to offer you the opportunity to return the product you purchased through the web shop and to refund your purchase amount. When you purchase a product in the actual shop, we offer you a claim voucher when you return your purchase, because you have been able to inspect the product in the shop before purchasing it.
  • Why does it take 7 business days to receive my refund?
    De Skihut works together with an intermediate party who processes all payments. When we submit a request to refund the purchase amount to you, Ogone will include this payment in the current payout batch. Payout batches are paid out once a week. That may be the reason why it takes 7 business days before you receive your refund.
  • Which payment methods do you offer?
    You can pay with Visa, MasterCard, and PayPal in De Skihut web shop.

    For Belgium you can use the following payment options: Bankcontact, Mistercash, Giropay, Inge Homepay, Cbc online, KBC Online, Belfius en Prepay.

  • Until when can I return my order?
    You can return your order within 14 days of receipt. Saves you this be not? Send an email to [email protected]. When we ship your order without giving a reason received late, we will return it to you.

  • I received my product and it was defective, what should I do?
    You obviously should not receive a defective product. If you do, please send an e-mail specifying the problem to [email protected] . We will find a suitable solution together for you to replace the product.
  • On which days are the packages delivered?
    DHL delivers packages from Monday till Saturday. De Skihut currently ships out orders on a daily basis.
  • What is the delivery time?
    De Skihut strives for a delivery time of no more than 3 business days. This delivery time may be exceeded during the high season. We will naturally inform you if this would be the case.

  • Can I edit my data?
    You can always edit your data. Please log into your account by clicking “log in”. Once you have entered your login data, you will be directed to your account. You can edit your data on this page.
  • What do you do with my data?
    Your data are only used by De Skihut and are not disclosed to other parties. We use your data to handle your orders. Twice a year, we will also send you a mailing by post to keep you informed about major campaigns launched by De Skihut. Winter sport

  • Why do you advise customers not to order skis and snowboards online?
    Our ski department in Scheveningen is run by very experienced employees who can advise you which skis or which snowboard would be the best choice for you. We are unfortunately unable to advise you online, that is why we advise customers who are unsure about which skis or snowboard they should purchase to come to our physical shops.

    When you have purchased your skis or snowboard in our physical shop, our staff will see to it that the purchased product is correctly adjusted, depending on your weight and the shoes you wear. This will enable you to get the most out of your purchase and will also minimise certain risks such as falling. That is a service that we cannot offer you when you purchase your skis or snowboard in our web shop. This is why De Skihut cannot be held liable for any consequences as a result of (an) inadequately adjusted skis or snowboard purchased through the web shop.
